Healthy Eating

 

Food and nutrition are key to children’s development and I aim to provide a balanced diet containing all five food groups.

Future health and well being is determined on experiences in childhood and good eating is part of this healthy foundation.

The main points i will be considering in your childs diet are as follows:

  • Offer fresh fruit frequently
  • A variety of vegetables will add colour and texture to a meal as well as minerals and vitamins
  • Keep processed foods  such as fish fingers, sausages chips etc to a minimum
  • Sugary snacks and drinks will be kept to the minimum and only as a treat
  • Give children enough time to eat
I provide home cooked well balanced meals with a variety of healthy snacks available. I do not buy processed foods and chicken nuggets/beef burgers/fish fingers are all homemade.
